The Fourth Day Of Taiwanese Citizens Missing In The Thousand Islands, DKI Basarnas Distributes 4 Marine Comb Crews

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Basarnas spread four crew members on the fourth day of the Taiwanese state color search operation (WN) lost in the waters of Rambut Island, Thousand Islands.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Basarnas, Desiana Kartika Bahari, said the team was divided into four crew members. Three crew members conducted searches at sea and one crew conducted a search on the beach.

"Since morning until this afternoon, strong winds and waves reaching 2.5 meters have become an obstacle for the joint team to conduct searches," he explained in Jakarta, Thursday, March 14, as reported by Antara.

He said for the first crew to conduct a 71.19 square mile search, the second crew searched for an area of 73.12 square miles, and the third crew conducted a search with an area of 87.4 square miles.

While the last crew conducted a 10-kilometer ground search.

"The team continues to carry out searches and dives to find the whereabouts of these victims," he said.

Previously, the joint team deployed 13 ships to search for Taiwanese, Shi Yi, who was missing when the KM Pari Kudus ship capsized in the Thousand Islands Rambut waters on Monday, March 11.

The victim wore a gray t-shirt, black pants and black hat and was around 40-45 years old

Agung said that a total of 35 passengers on the KM Pari Kudus ship overturned on Rambut Island. "There is one person who did not enter the passenger manifest and he survived," he said.

He explained that the 35 people consisted of 32 passengers plus three crew members who crossed from Asha Resort, Payung Island, South Thousand Islands, to Mutiara Beach, North Jakarta.

Previously, the Thousand Islands Police Chief AKBP Jarot stated that there were 10 foreign nationals who were victims of the capsized KM Pari Kudus ship.

"There are 10 foreign nationals and 22 Indonesians who are passengers on the ship that capsized due to high waves and strong winds," said Jarot in Jakarta, Monday.

He explained that the 10 foreigners consisted of five Chinese nationals, four Taiwanese and one Korean. "One victim who is still missing is a Taiwanese citizen," he said.
