TANGERANG - Tangerang City Police, Banten, has prepared dozens of certified Satlantas personnel to take manual fines against motorists who violate traffic rules in the Tangerang jurisdiction.

"We have proposed (officers) who are investigators to take action against violations. From the results of the data collection, there are about 20 personnel proposed," said Deputy Head of Tangerang Police Traffic Unit AKPi I Made Artana as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 1.

He said that the certified personnel will have the authority and responsibility to take firm action by giving direct ticketing for motorists who violate traffic regulations.

His party is currently preparing a number of administrative data for personnel who enter the indicators of the manual ticketing officer assessment, such as related to integrity, compliance with rules, self-control, and also communication.

That way, later the implementation of manual ticketing can run well and there are no violations in the field.

"Meanwhile, there are several personnel with certificates and we are still collecting data. This is a basic principle, so we prepare data that supports the provisions of the investigator's duties," he said.

The Tangerang Police Traffic Unit is ready to carry out a manual ticketing operation that will be carried out in the near future as an effort to improve security, order and safety of traffic in its area.

For technical manual ticketing, it will be carried out in areas that have not been covered or reached by the electronic ticketing system or ETLE.

"But we are still optimizing the ETLE enforcement system according to the instructions of the National Police Chief. In our area, there are several points installed," he said.

According to him, the consideration in prosecuting manual ticketing at this place is based on the results of the evaluation of the ETLE ticket which is considered ineffective in suppressing violations, especially violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents.

"That's why we determine the locations for this manual ticket based on traffic accident data and data on violators which creates quite a high potential," he said.

A number of points for taking action against traffic violations with the manual ticketing system include Jalan Syekh Nawawi-Threeraksa and along Jalan Raya Serang-Tangerang.
