Charta Politica Survey: PDIP Electability Still Number One

JAKARTA - The results of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey for the period 2-7 May 2023 show that the number one position related to the electability of political parties in the legislative elections is still being quated by the PDI-P (PDIP).

"The electability of the number one political party is still controlled by the PDI Perjuangan with 22.1 percent," said Executive Director of Charta Politica Indonesia Yunarto Wijaya in the release of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey entitled "Electoral Dynamics Post-Dispute of the U-20 World Cup and Batu Tulis Declaration" reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 15.

Next, the second to tenth positions are occupied by the Gerindra Party with electability of 14.9 percent, the Golkar Party (9.8 percent), the National Awakening Party / PKB (7.8 percent), the Prosperous Justice Party / PKS (7.2 percent), the NasDem Party (6.6 percent), the Democratic Party (6.1 percent), the United Development Party / PPP (4.1 percent), the National Mandate Party / PAN (3.8 percent), and the Perindo Party (3.2 percent).

According to Yunarto, the ten political parties participating in the 2024 General Election have the opportunity to pass the parliamentary threshold.

"From the PDI-P to Perindo, there is an opportunity to pass the parliamentary threshold," he said.

Next, the eleventh to eighteenth position is occupied by the Indonesian Solidarity Party / PSI with electability (0.5 percent), Garuda Party (0.3 percent), Gelora (0.2 percent), Ummat (0.2 percent), Crescent Star Party (0.1 percent), Hanura Party, Nusantara Awakening Party / PKN (0.1 percent), Labor Party (0.1 percent).

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,220 respondents who were at least 17 years old or had met the requirements as voters and spread across all provinces in Indonesia.

The determination of the sample was carried out by a multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of the survey of around 2.82 percent.
