DENPASAR - Denpasar District Attorney revealed the role of the three suspects involved in the case of issuing ID cards, family cards and birth certificates for foreign nationals from Ukraine and Syria to become residents of Denpasar City, Bali.
Denpasar District Attorney Rudy Hartono said the three Indonesian state administrators, respectively Ketut Sudana, I Wayan Sunaryo and Nur Kasinayati Marsudiono, were responsible for obtaining documents for two foreign nationals Mohammad Nizar Zghaib from Syria and Ukrainian resident Krynin Rodion.
Rudy explained that suspect I Ketut Sudana (IKS), an honorary or contract worker at the North Denpasar District Office, acted as the person who regulated the verification process, data taking and photos at the Denpasar City Population and Civil Registry Office, Bali.
The IKS suspect is also a liaison with state administrators, namely suspect I Wayan Sunaryo as the Head of Hamlet in one of the urban villages in Denpasar for the issuance of birth certificates and family cards of suspects Mohammad Nizar Zghaib and Krynin Rodion.
Meanwhile, the second suspect I Wayan Sunaryo is the Head of Sekar Kangin Hamlet, Sidakarya Village, South Denpasar, who played a role in helping make family cards and birth certificates from the two suspects foreigners using incorrect or fake biodata, then inputting KK and birth certificates into population data on the Tanging Disdukcapil application in Denpasar City for issuance of identity cards.
Furthermore, the third suspect, Nur Kasinayati Marsudiono, played a role as a liaison between the suspects MNZ and RK who wanted to have an ID card by asking for the help of a member of the TNI Patari Nur Pujud. It was this TNI member who also contacted the IKS suspect to help make ID cards for the two foreigners in a different period of time
"Currently, PNP (Patari Nur Pujud) has been carried out by the legal process and detention by Pomdam Udayana because the case is connective," said Rudy as quoted by ANTARA.
Rudy was also reluctant to provide information regarding the number of foreigners who had used the services of three suspects to get an Indonesian citizen ID card.
"Not now, that will be during the trial. There will be disclosure, whether they have ever helped other foreigners or not," he said accompanied by the Head of the Intelligence Section of the Denpasar District Attorney Ady Wira Bakti.
Rudy revealed that the purpose of making ID cards by the two foreigners was to do business. However, he did not know for sure the business carried out by the two foreigners.
"The suspect asked himself, looking for ways to have an ID card and be able to manage the business in Bali. But we will see the type of business in court," he said.
For his actions, Mohammad Nizar Zghaib and Krynin Rodion were charged with the bribery article as stipulated in Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, second, Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b of the Anti-Corruption Law jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code jo. Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code or Article 5 paragraph (2) of Law no. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Denpasar District Attorney I Nyoman Sugiharta said the suspect Nur Kasinayati was the opening of the road tasked with connecting the two foreigners to the Denpasar City Disdukcapil.
