TNI Personnel Kick Women's Motorcyclists Riding Small Children Viral On Social Media, Dispenau: Members Have Been Given Strict Sanctions

JAKARTA - An individual TNI motorcyclist suddenly went viral on social media after hitting another motor belonging to a nearby motorist. The incident occurred in the Jalan Hankam area of the TNI Headquarters, Bekasi on Monday, April 24.

Various comments also emerged when the victim, who was a motorcyclist, was known to be a woman who was riding a small child.

In an official statement from the Indonesian Air Force's Rapid Movement Command (Kopasgat), through the Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) Marsma TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, it was explained that the incident began when members of Denhanud 471 Pasgat Praka ANG, after the guard.

At that time, Praka ANG was riding a motorbike behind a motorbike driven by Sri Dewi Kemuning (21). When he arrived at the fork in the Hankam highway at TNI Headquarters, Jatiwarna, Bekasi, suddenly, the motorbike in front of him braking suddenly, so that Praka ANG accidentally hit his motorbike in front of him.

From this incident, there was a dialogue between Praka ANG and Sri Dewi Kemuning that triggered Praka ANG's action against the side of Sri Dewi Kemuning's motorbike.

Marsma TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, said that the Indonesian Air Force, through the Commander of Denhanud 471 Pasangt, had visited Sri Dewi Kemuning's house in Pondok Ranggon, Bekasi to apologize.

"According to the instructions of the Indonesian Air Force leadership, the incident has been followed up by apologizing to the victim. The member concerned has also been given strict sanctions by his superiors," said Kadispenau in an official statement, Tuesday, April 25.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Air Force's Quick Action Force Command (Kopasgat), through the Commander of the 471 Pasangt Air Defense Detachment (Denhanud), Lt. Col. Pas Bagus Teaching Pamungkas, apologized to Sri Dewi Kemuning on Tuesday, April 25.

The families of the victims, Sri Dewi Kemuning and her father, have forgiven what happened on Monday afternoon, April 24.

"For people who experience or see acts of violation by members of the Indonesian Air Force, please be able to report to the nearest Indonesian Air Force unit," reads an official statement from the Indonesian Air Force Information Service.
