East Indies Launches New Song Again, We Are Worried, Friends

JAKARTA - Before releasing their full album, the Indies launched the song Kami Worried, Kawanyang could already be heard on digital platforms starting today.

Quoted from Antara, Friday, the single is the fourth song from the Indies album entitled After Life Will End which will be released in two parts on July 7 and 21, 2023.

The video clip for the song was directed by Lala Jasin and starring Danilla Riyadi and Denisa Dhaniswara, will start airing on June 17 on the Indies YouTube channel.

The East Indies said the song's idea came from the experience of one of its friends, who had a younger brother who was reluctant to go home. The East Indies realized that such things often happened to other families.

"So, I always tell myself, 'Be patient, tomorrow you will be able to let go and live the life you want without having any more debt of gratitude. But not yet.' This is what I finally tell my friends who intend to 'go away', as long as the dynamics of their relationship with people or the environment that they stay away from has not become toxic or out of limits," said the Indies.

Like the song Case Body, which was released last May, We Are Worried that Kawan will be written by the Indies and Kareem Soenharjo, who also acts as producer with Enrico Octaviano as a co-producer.

"The basis of this song was originally from me, and because there are many elements that repeat it, I entrust it to Kareem because he is great at looking for musical 'attraksi' every few moments," explained the Indies.

After raising the themes of despair, anxiety about the future and self-confidence in the songs that have been released so far, from After all Life will end, namely False Promises, Future Problems, and Body Matters, the Indies deliberately chose We are worried, Kawan as the next single for carrying a familiar topic for anyone.

"I want the last single before the album comes out is a very grounded story to be a sign that in the end this album is still an Indies album, no matter how heavy the big theme is on this second album," he explained.
