Vaccine Inventory In Semarang City Is Running Low

SEMARANG - The Semarang City Government noted that the supply of the COVID-19 vaccine in the capital city of Central Java was running low.

Head of the Semarang City Health Office, Abdul Hakam, said that there were 38,050 doses of vaccine remaining in the area.

According to him, the supply is estimated to only be able to meet the needs of vaccination for two days.

"We are still waiting for the distribution of the vaccine from the provinces", said Abdul Hakam, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 27.

Due to the limited supply, he said, even three locations of vaccination centers and the implementation of vaccinations in seven health centers had to be closed.

In addition, continued Abdul Hakam, vaccinations in 16 public health centers only served the second injection.

Even though supplies are running low, according to him, the Health Office will still accept online vaccination registrations, which will be scheduled for vaccination after supplies are available.

Therefore, he hopes that the supply of vaccines from the provincial government, which is supplied from the center, can be allocated to the city of Semarang.

Regarding the achievement of vaccination in the city of Semarang, up to now, about 54 percent of the total population must be vaccinated to achieve communal immunity.
