Cianjur Regent Says WFH Is Not Effective In Suppressing COVID-19, ASN Must Enter The Office
CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, requires all ASN to work in the office. The district government has eliminated working from home, which previously had to fill in attendance online to find out their health condition.
"The implementation of WFH is considered ineffective in suppressing the spread of COVID-19 in the government environment, the evidence is that many are still exposed, so we stop WFH and all ASNs return to their offices as usual," said Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 26.
Herman explained that all ASNs are required to fill in health attendance every day, to find out the health conditions of themselves and their families, so that when they are healthy, they can come to the office as usual.
However, for those who are infected or their family members are exposed, they are not allowed to enter the office, after undergoing a medical test and are recommended to undergo self-isolation or in an isolation center.
"ASN from each OPD report their health condition to the Cianjur Health Office, while sub-district employees go to the puskesmas. They are also required to report their family's health condition, so that when they are not healthy, they will be allowed not to enter," continued the Cianjur Regent.
The regent added that the WFH work pattern that was applied during the pandemic made the performance of ASN in the Cianjur Regency Government not optimal, including efforts to reduce the transmission rate because many sick people forced themselves to stay in the office.
"We hope that by stopping the work at home pattern, we can improve the performance of ASN and the pattern of health absenteeism, can reduce the transmission rate," he said.
