COVID-19 Update July 25: Daily Cases Drop To Level 30,000, Patients Recovered Add 37,640 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive COVID-19 cases for today, Sunday, July 25 at 12.00 WIB with a record addition of 38,679 cases.

This number is lower and breaks the trend of cases approaching 50,000 per day in the last three days.

The report also revealed that the daily cure rate increased by 37,640 people with a mortality rate of 1,266 cases.

In detail, the largest increase in positive cases occurred in DKI Jakarta with a record 5,393 cases. This figure reflects that the capital area accounts for about 14 percent of all confirmed cases today nationwide.

Followed by West Java with 5,302 cases, Central Java with 5,265 cases, East Java with 4,763 cases, and DI Yogyakarta with 2,145 cases.

Meanwhile, for areas with the most recovery, DKI Jakarta contributed 14,361 people, West Java 5,141 people, East Java 4,866 people, and Central Java with 3,419 people.

Then, the highest death rate was in East Java with 318 cases, Central Java with 264 cases, DKI Jakarta with 157 cases, and West Java with 123 cases.

In terms of vaccination, 44,469,974 people received phase I vaccine with a special addition today of 362,048 people.

Then, for the second phase of the vaccine, it is known that it has been distributed to 17,906,504 people with the addition of 430,508 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target targeted by the government for the current period is 208,265,720 doses.

Most recently, Indonesia returned the arrival of 8 million Sinovac vaccines from China on Thursday, July 22, at Soekarno Hatta Airport. In total, the vaccine shipment is the 29th batch received by the Indonesian government.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, said that the purchase value of the vaccine until July 19, 2021, had reached IDR 10.6 trillion. This amount is used to pay for about 53.9 million doses of vaccine doses.
