Mayor Of Gibran: I Was Negative Two Days Ago, Just Recovery
JAKARTA - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka announced that he had recovered or was negative from COVID-19 after being exposed for more than a week.
Through a short message to reporters in Solo, Wednesday, he was declared negative for COVID-19 two days ago.
"I've been negative since two days ago. It's just a period of recovery," Gibran said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 21.
Previously, on Wednesday, July 14, Gibran announced that he was positive for COVID-19 after undergoing a swab test at the Bung Karno Hospital (RSBK) Surakarta.
"My PCR test results came out on Monday, July 12 morning, I am currently undergoing self-isolation," he said.
Before being exposed, he said he often visited a number of locations prone to exposure, including hospitals, isolation sites, and vaccination sites. Before finally doing the swab test, he had done an antigen swab test but the results were negative.
However, this father of two children admitted that he was in good health and did not feel any symptoms, so it was enough to undergo self-isolation.
"When I found out I was positive, I immediately separated myself. Thank God my children, wife, aide, and driver were all negative," he said.
Meanwhile, while undergoing self-isolation he continues to work through the online system.***3***
