Eid Prayer At The Official House, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin And The Entire Congregation Wear Masks
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin performs Eid prayer 1442 H at his official residence at Jalan Diponegoro Number 2, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 20.
Considering that it took place in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of Eid prayers was limited and implemented health protocols.
Ma'ruf was seen wearing a blue koko shirt and sarong, and wearing a mask as a prayer priest. Meanwhile, the President Director of the MUI Professional Certification Institute (LSP), Aminudin Yakub, acts as a preacher.
This prayer was also carried out with Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin and the limited Paspampres apparatus. Congregants attending the prayers looked distant, and were seen wearing masks.
"To all Muslims in Indonesia, I wish you a happy Eid Al-Fitr 1442 H which we are still celebrating this year in an atmosphere of concern because the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet. Eid Al-Adha is synonymous with sacrifice and sincerity," said the Vice President, quoted from Antara.
The vice president said that in the Qur'an it has been mentioned that Muslims carry out sacrifices in the form of livestock, such as cows, goats or camels.
"In fact, the Prophet Muhammad said that whoever has advantages during Eid but does not slaughter, then do not approach our prayer place," added the Vice President.
Previously, Ma'ruf had appealed to Muslims, especially those in the area of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to carry out Eid prayers at their respective homes to avoid clusters and increase the number of cases.
"We invite the public to obey and follow the government's invitation, including I ask that later in accordance with the provisions, do not do crowds, including one of them is to perform Eid prayers both in the mosque and outside the mosque, until the situation is possible again," said Ma'ruf attended a Virtual Meeting with Ulama and Islamic Religious Leaders at the Vice President's Palace, Monday, July 12.
