Inspection At The Bandarlampung Detention Center: Spoons, Glass Bottles And Nail Clippers Confiscated

BANDARLAMPUNG - Security officers at the Class I State Detention Center (Rutan) in Bandarlampung found prohibited objects during a raid in the residential rooms of the inmates.

"We managed to confiscate several prohibited items," said Head of Security for Class I Detention Center Bandarlampung Yudi Hari Yanto, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 19.

He said the objects that officers found in the inmates' residential rooms included metal spoons, glass bottles, nail clippers, and others.

Inspection activities on the residential rooms of the inmates are carried out routinely to detect disturbances in security and order in the detention center, he said.

"The purpose of the raids is to avoid the use and circulation of narcotics in the detention center," he said.

In addition, said Yudi, maintenance activities and rolling the locks for the residential rooms of the inmates were carried out. This activity is a form of follow-up to the direction of the Director General of Corrections (Ditjenpas) regarding three keys to correctional facilities.

"We hope that with this inspection, the inmates can obey the rules at the detention center and not do things that we don't want," he said.
