Well, This Is The New Toll Road In Jakarta That Connects Kelapa Gading To Pulo Gebang: Completed At The End Of July
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reports that the construction of the 9.3 km Kelapa Gading - Pulo Gebang Inner Elevated Toll Road has entered the final stage and is expected to be completed by the end of July.
PUPR Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono, said the construction of this freeway would connect several strategic economic centers in the capital city area.
"The presence of this toll road will connect productive areas such as industrial areas, tourism, airports, and ports, will be able to reduce logistics costs and increase the competitiveness of domestic products", he said as released on the official website, Friday, July 16.
For information, the construction of the toll road, which is part of the 6 Jakarta Inner-City Toll Roads, will complete the structure of the freeway network in the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan area (Jakarta - Bogor - Depok - Tangerang - Bekasi), which already has a network of the inner ring and outer ring roads (Jakarta Outer Ring Road/JORR).
Meanwhile, the Kelapa Gading - Pulo Gebang section will be connected to the JORR Section E Toll Road network which connects the connectivity of the Marunda Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and supports access to the Tanjung Priok Port.
The construction itself has started in February 2017 with construction progress reaching 98.8 percent and is targeted to be completed by the end of this month.

The construction of the Jakarta Inner-City Elevated Toll Road or often referred to as the 6 Sections of the Jakarta Inner-City Toll Road is a National Strategic Project according to Presidential Regulation No. 56 of 2018.
“The presence of 6 new Inner City Toll Roads is to reduce congestion in the capital city of Jakarta. Overall, the toll road spans 69.77 km by adopting flyover construction that is integrated with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) public transportation", he said.
The construction is carried out in stages, namely phase 1 along 31.2 km consisting of Section A Kelapa Gading - Pulo Gebang along 9.3 km, Section B Semanan-Grogol along 9.5 km, and Section C Grogol-Kelapa Gading along 12.4 km.
"The investment value for the construction of phase 1 is IDR 20.73 trillion with the implementing contractor PT Jaya Konstruksi - PT Adhi Karya (KSO)", concluded Minister Basuki.
