Minister Of Villages Values BUM Nag Lumpo Pesisir Selatan Examples Of Advanced Bumdes

PAINAN - Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, assessed Nagari-Owned Enterprises (BUM Nag) Tirta Gunung Talau as an example of a village-owned enterprise (bumdes) that is advanced in Indonesia.

"I am currently collecting data on the advanced Bumdes to serve as a model for other villages in Indonesia. Later, I will tell you about the success of BUM Nag Tirta Gunung Talau on my visits to villages," said Yandri when inaugurating the use of clean water on a scale of Nagari managed by BUM Nag Tirta Gunung Talau in Nagari Lumpo, District IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, Sunday.

Bumnang Tirta Gunung Talau is a moving Bumdes in the field of providing clean water in accordance with the potential in the area.

Yandri wants every village in Indonesia to establish a thematic Bumdes that is tailored to the potential of each village, for example there are villages whose bumdes focus on chilies, tomatoes, watermelons, catfish, cows, tilapia, rice. He suggested that each village build a different business so that product prices become high. He said that if the product is the same, the price is low because of the large production.

To advance Bumdes, said Yandri, the manager can cooperate with the private sector. He has seen advanced Bumdes in collaboration with the private sector, for example Bumdes Payang Sejahtera in Sungai Payang Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, which has 240 employees, and Bumdes Ngoran Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency, East Java, which exports banteng jimbe from beef skin to Chinese.

I will make these advanced Bundes a pilot bumdes. If there are bumdes who want to manage a water supply business, I ask them to study at BUM Nag Tirta Gunung Talau. If there are bumdes who want to process cow skin, I ask them to study at the Ngoran Village bumdes. If Bumdes progresses, their income can be for village welfare, such as for scholarships, helping to deal with extreme poverty, and dealing with stunting," he said.

Yandri asked all villages to establish Bumdes to achieve, one of which is food self-sufficiency. If all villages have Bumdes which manages food and developed bumdes, said Yandri, food self-sufficiency will be achieved because the village is already self-sufficiency in food.

Wali Nagari Lumpo, Suhardi Sikumbang, menjelaskan bahwa dengan adanya BUM Nag Tirta Gunung Talau, masyarakat nagari tersebut dapat menikmati air bersih dengan harga yang jauh lebih murah dibanding harga air PDAM.

He said that the average residents paid the BUM Nag Tirta Gunung Talau water bill of Rp. 8 thousand per month. Previously, residents paid PDAM bills from Rp. 120 thousand to Rp. 180 thousand per month.
