バイラルコンテンツ「NTTの人々は正直ではない、ウンダナコミュニケーションの専門家はリチャードセオドアが謝罪することを提案する

KUPANG - Communication expert from Nusa Cendana University (Undana) Kupang Prof. Alo Liliweri recommends content creator Richard Theodore to apologize directly after the viral video called the people of NTT dishonest when testing the honesty of a father at Tobilota Port, Adonara Island.

"What he did was wrong. He thought the NTT people were all dishonest after carrying out their actions, so it was better for my suggestion that he apologize to the public," he said in Kupang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.

Previously, video content creator Richard Theodore went viral on social media saying that the people of NTT were dishonest after testing the honesty of an elderly man at a kiosk at Tobilota Port, Adonara Island, East Flores Regency.

This happened because Richard's cellphone was left behind in the shop. Richard returned to the shop to take his cellphone and questioned why the shop owner did not immediately call himself when his cellphone was left behind.

The viral video provoked anger from almost all NTT people, even angering a number of content creators from Indonesia Timor and also the last comic from NTT Abdurrahim Arsyad who is better known as Abdur Arsyad.

According to the professor at Undana, Richard must clarify what his statement means, if he does not have a specific purpose then he must convey it to the public.

"He can't just apologize on his social media, because not everyone has or is friends with him on his social media. Moreover, the Father is the one who is harmed," he continued.

Therefore, Prof. Alo recommends that Richard apologize in the main media (mainstrem), even if necessary in a number of large media outlets in NTT.

Alo also recommended that the family of the father who was said to be dishonest should report Richard and his team's actions to the police because they contained insults.

"Moreover, the statement contains SARA which can cause conflict," he said.

With this incident, he asked content creators to be more sensitive in taking issues and filling in their content, so as not to harm other parties.
