パダン警察14キログラムのマリファナの流通を阻止

Padang Police, West Sumatra, thwarted the circulation of dried marijuana weighing about 14 kilograms from the hands of a gang of dealers arrested last week.

"This type of marijuana is planned to be circulated by perpetrators in a number of areas in the city of Padang, but we failed it," said Padang Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Ruly Indra Wijayanto as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

The three perpetrators who have now been named as suspects have the initials AF, HB, and DP. They have different roles in the chain of drug trafficking of marijuana.

"The suspect HB acted as a courier to pick up marijuana to the Pengyabungan area, then brought to the city of Padang," he explained.

Meanwhile, suspect D acts as a marijuana collector and suspect AF is in charge of distributing the prohibited items.

The suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 111 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Meanwhile, the Head of Drugs at the Padang Police, AKP Martadius, revealed that the arrests of the perpetrators of drug abuse were carried out at a house on Jalan Gajah Mada Number 12 A, Kampung Olo, Nanggalo District, Padang City.

The arrests began when the operational team carried out fishing and covert purchase techniques for AF perpetrators.

"At that time, the team found evidence in the form of marijuana weighing about half a kilogram from AF's hands," he explained.

It didn't stop there, the police then interrogated AF to ask about the origins of the marijuana in his hands.

"From the results of the interrogation and development, we finally arrested suspects D and HB along with evidence of marijuana weighing a total of more than thirteen kilograms," he said.

Currently, the three suspects have been detained at the Padang Police Headquarters to account for their actions before the law.
