マゲランの父、母、兄弟を殺害した息子は終身刑を宣告された

The panel of judges at the Mungkid District Court (PN) sentenced the defendant Dhio Daffa Syadilla (22), a resident of Prajenan Hamlet, Mertoyudan, Magelang, Central Java, for being proven to have killed his parents and his brother using poison.

The trial which took place at Mungkid District Court, Magelang Regency, Thursday, June 8, was chaired by Chief Judge Darminto Hutasoit with two member judges: I Made Sudiarta and Asri.

According to the panel of judges, the aggravating act of the defendant was very sadistic and inhumane because he had the heart to kill his own biological parents who had given birth, cared for, educated, and raised him.

In addition, the panel of judges stated that the defendant's actions viciously took three lives at once using poison.

The mitigating factors include, among others, that the defendant was forthright in providing information and regretting his actions.

Considering the aggravating and mitigating factors, the panel of judges disagreed with the defendant's legal adviser who requested that he be sentenced to 20 years in prison or the lightest sentence.

Judge Darminto Hutasoit stated that the defendant Dhio Daffa Syadilla had been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of premeditated murder as in the public prosecutor's primary indictment.

On the life sentence, the defendant's legal adviser expressed his thoughts.

After the trial, the defendant's legal adviser Satria Budi conveyed that the decision of his client's panel of judges wanted to be given leniency.

"So we still hope to be given relief with an appeal later. Seven days for an appeal, we will see if our client is really serious about making an appeal or not," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, public prosecutor Toto Harminto said that his party would report to the leadership first the decision of the panel of judges.

"We are also still waiting for what the defendant will do," he said.
