Chelsea's New Passion From The New Manager
JAKARTA - Chelsea now have a new passion after the new manager, Mauricio Pochettino. A number of Blues crew members said they were enthusiastic about returning to the right track with the arrival of the former Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Even two Chelsea defenders, Reece James and Ben Chilwell, admitted that they could not wait to be coached by Pochettino.
"I can't wait to work with him (Pochettino). Everyone says he's a great manager and hopefully next season we can find our way early and be a good and strong team as we know it," James said on the club's official website.
Pochettino was appointed Chelsea's new manager on 29 May. The man who was born on March 2, 1972, was contracted for two years to replace Frank Lampard, who was previously the interim boss.
Pochettino is not the first time to puzzle English Premier League (EPL) or the Premier League because he has coached Southampton for 1.5 years and Tottenham Hotspur for 5.5 years.
Meanwhile, before being bound by a contract with the Blues, Pochettino last coached the club was Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Together with PSG, the Argentine coach presented three titles, namely the French League 1 (2021/2022), the French Cup (2020/2021), and the French Super Cup (2020/2021).
In the 2022/2023 season, Chelsea's performance is far from expectations. With a number of star players signed, the club based at Stamford Bridge was unable to do much and only finished in 12th place with 44 points, the result of 11 wins, 11 draws, and 16 defeats.

The two England defenders hope that the arrival of this Argentine man who has many experiences will be able to bring his team better next season.
"The goal is to get back to where we knew we should be," Chilwell said.
"We have the upcoming big pre-season we're all looking forward to, we have a new manager who comes and it's up to us as players to go there and make sure next season is good. for the club," continued the 26-year-old left-back.
"I'm very happy to work with Pochettino. I've spoken to some players who have worked with him before and they all say good things about him and highlight how good he is a manager," Chilwell said.
