警察、ブリモブ銃撃事件に関与したKKBメンバー1人を再び逮捕
JAKARTA - The National Police arrested a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) with the initials KB. He was one of the perpetrators of the shooting of Brimob members in November 2022.
"The Yahukimo Police together with the Cartenz Damai Ops 2023 have again succeeded in securing a KKB member with the initials KB," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in his statement, Wednesday, May 31.
The arrest of KB took place in one of the houses in the Echelon 4 Housing area, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, today.
His whereabouts were known after the development of the raid on the hiding place of the Papuan separatist group some time ago.
"The arrest was the result of a statement from the KKB frontman, namely Kopi Tua Heluka (KTH), who is currently in the process of being investigated by the Yahukimo Police," he said.
The figure of KB is a member of the KKB who is often involved in acts of terror. One of them was the shooting case of Brimob members at KM7 in November 2022.
In addition, Yahukimo Police Chief AKBP Arief Kristanto said KB had been detained at the Yahukimo Police Station. Investigations for development will continue.
"KTH and KB will undergo further investigations to link other perpetrators to several criminal cases that occurred in the jurisdiction of the Yahukimo Police," said Arief.
During the arrest, a number of evidences were also secured. Starting from sharp weapons to communication tools.

Previously, the National Police arrested the alleged leader of the Papua Armed Criminal Group (KKB) with the initials KTH alias PH.
KTH alias PH is suspected of being involved in a number of crimes committed by the KKB in the jurisdiction of the Yahukimo Police, Papua Mountains.
The crimes include the murder of members of the TNI on November 4, 2022 and the shooting of members of the Yahukimo Police, which resulted in Brigpol Usdar's death, on November 29, 2022.
