Starting June The Train Schedule Has Changed, KAI Reminds Customers To Pay Attention To Departure Hours

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI appealed to customers to pay attention to the train schedule listed on tickets or e-tickets for the latest departures.

The reason is, starting June 1, 2023, the 2023 Railway Travel Graphics (GAPEKA) will begin.

EVP of Corporate Secretary Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji said that along with the implementation of Gapeka, a number of train departure schedules will change. Therefore, passengers are asked to pay attention to the departure schedule.

"Make sure your travel schedule is back because there is a change in the train departure schedule for GAPEKA 2023, so you don't miss the train. Because starting June 1, there are a number of departure schedules that have advanced from the previous schedule," he said in an official statement, quoted on Tuesday, May 16.

During the transition period, said Raden, all internal ranks were ready for this change by preparing the transition on May 31, 2023, as well as the assignment of posts in various work units.

"The goal is that all aspects such as ticketing services and train operations run smoothly, safely, safely, and under control," he said.

Raden explained that the implementation of GAPEKA 2023 as a substitute for GAPEKA 2021 has been implemented so far. He said, this change could be realized in collaboration between the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA), KAI and all stakeholders.

"Through the implementation of GAPEKA 2023, it is hoped that train customers will increase through various service improvements, such as shorter travel times, increasing the number of train trips, and others," he concluded.

Here are some examples of trains whose departure hours start June 1, 2023, including:

- Argo Wilis train (KA 6) Bandung - Surabaya Gubeng connection, previously scheduled departure at 08.15 WIB to 07.40 WIB.

- KA Purwojaya (KA 72-73) Gambir - Cilacap relation, previously scheduled departure at 22.00 WIB to 21.10 WIB.

- Ranggajati train (KA 114-115) Jember - Cirebon connection, previously scheduled departure at 06.15 WIB to be 05.15 WIB.

- Yogyakarta Main Senja (KA 139) train related Yogyakarta - Pasar Senen, previously scheduled departure at 17.50 WIB to 17.30 WIB.

- Airlangga train (KA 235) Surabaya Pasarturi - Pasar Senen relation, previously scheduled departure at 12.25 WIB to 10.35 WIB.
