BADUNG - Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport was recorded as serving 1,172,936 passengers and 7,554 aircraft movements during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri holiday period on April 14 - May 2, 2023.

"We closed the Integrated Air Transport Command Post for Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri with a note of zero accident and detail, and served up to 1,172,936 passengers," said GM I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan, Wednesday, May 3.

He explained that the achievement consisted of 591,174 domestic passengers and 581,762 international passengers.

Meanwhile, there were 4,384 domestic aircraft operating and 3,170 movements of international aircraft.

"For the total extra flights operating during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah homecoming at Bali Airport, there were 468 aircraft, with the most domestic routes in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Ujung Pandang and Labuan Bajo," he said.

Handy Heryudhitiawan said the peak of the flow of homecoming at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport occurred on April 20, 2023, where 64,770 passengers were dominated by domestic passenger arrivals reaching 21,314 passengers.

Meanwhile, the peak of backflow at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport occurred on April 30, 2023, with a total of 71,927 passengers and 22,267 passengers arriving on domestic flight routes dominating.

When compared to the percentage of passengers during the Idul Fitri Integrated Command Post 2023 with 2022, there was an increase of 101.04 percent or 2022 which previously served 583,445 passengers lower than in 2023.

"With the end of this Eid Air Transport Integrated Command Post, we remain committed to providing the best service to all passengers," concluded Handy.
