YOGYAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan were the nation's best sons. Prabowo is ready to compete in the 2024 presidential election.

Saat berorasi dalam acara Reunion Akbar dan Halalbihalal Purnawirawan di Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Bantul, Daerah Khusus Yogyakarta, Prabowo menyebut keduanya sama-sama memiliki niat berbua melakukan baik untuk kepentingan bangsa dan negara.

"We have seen now maybe the pair (presidential candidates) who have been nominated by Mas Ganjar Pranowo and Mas Anies Baswedan. I want to say they are both the nation's best sons as well. They are also determined to do good," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 3.

For Prabowo, both Ganjar and Anies are figures he knows as friends. Therefore, in the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo asked his supporters not to be provoked to impose each other.

In addition, Prabowo wants the 2024 presidential election contestation not to be colored by tensions.

"We invite everyone, let's go well, we don't have to be tense," he said.

Prabowo, who was promoted by the Gerindra Party as a presidential candidate, stated that he was ready to run and compete with complaints of ideas and programs.

"We will compete with ideas, we will compete with ideas, we will compete with programs," he said.

As a nation with a big heart, Prabowo asked no one to use politics as a vehicle to vilify and pit each other.

"Differences have no problems, let us become an adult nation, become a nation of great spirits, a nation of confidence, a nation that does not want to be torn apart again, a nation that does not want to be pitted against each other," he said.
