Ministry Of Transportation Lends Dhaksinarga Terminal Building For Public Service Mall
YOGYAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation lent one of the buildings at Dhaksinarga Terminal to become a Public Service Mall (MPP) for the people of Gunungkidul, Central Java. The asset lending is carried out as an effort to optimize existing state-owned goods (BMN).
Secretary of the Director General of Land Transportation, Imran Rasyid, said that the borrowing of building assets can help local governments maximize the duties and functions of public services. As well as efficient forms of BMN utilization.
"With the MPP of the Gunungkidul Regency Government at Dhaksinarga Terminal, it will grow people's economic activities, and will also help us market commercialized spaces," said Imran in a press statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 3.
Utilization of BMN is guided by Regulation of the Ministry of Finance Number 115 of 2020 concerning Procedures for Utilizing State Property (BMN) through leasing schemes, Utilization Cooperation (KSP), Build Handover (BSG), Build for Handover (BGS), Infrastructure Provision Cooperation ( KSPI) and borrow and use.
The second floor building of the Dhaksinarga Terminal which is lent to the Gunungkidul Regency Government covers an area of 572.5 m². Apart from these areas, the Ministry of Transportation also opens opportunities for private parties to be able to take advantage of the terminal building with a loan-use agreement that is valid for 5 years.
"Hopefully the presence of the MPP at Dhaksinarga Terminal will drive economic activity and community productivity as well as support the economic recovery which is currently tending to decline due to the pandemic," said Gunungkidul Regent, Badingah.
