Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz Design and Features are Said to Focus on Reducing Driver Fatigue, Take a Look at the Specifications Again

JAKARTA - Long distance travel and long traffic jams during the holiday often become a challenge for drivers in Indonesia. The condition of heavy traffic, long driving duration, and the road situation that cannot always be predicted make fatigue difficult to avoid, especially when traveling with family.

In everyday mobility in the country, long-distance travel and congestion are common experiences, especially on weekends and holiday seasons. Hyundai notes that as many as 89.1 percent of respondents have faced these conditions.

The most common forms of fatigue include drowsiness (38.2 percent), fatigue in the legs due to intense pedal use (30.9 percent), and stress of keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front (18.2 percent).

This finding confirms the importance of comfort and support for drivers in choosing family vehicles. Responding to this need, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia presents Stargaze Cartenz and Stargazer Cartenz X as a family car choice.

Both models are designed to support the mobility of Indonesian families. Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, said the car released in mid-2025 is very suitable for long journeys.

"We developed Stargazer Cartenz and Stargazer Cartenz X by understanding the characteristics of consumers and road conditions in Indonesia. The combination of modern design, functional features, and driving comfort makes these two models able to answer the needs of Indonesian family mobility comprehensively," said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 23.

To support comfort and reduce driver fatigue, this car is equipped with a series of Hyundai SmartSense active safety features. One of the flagship features is Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

This feature is quite helpful in maintaining a safe distance while automatically regulating vehicle speed, so that drivers do not have to constantly step on the gas pedal when facing long traffic jams or long distance travel.

In addition, both models are also equipped with Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA) which help vehicles stay on track through steering corrections. The Driver Attention Warning feature is also present to monitor steering patterns and detect driver fatigue.

When the system detects signs of fatigue, visual and audible warnings will be given as a reminder to rest. Other safety features include a Surround View Monitor that displays a 360-degree view around the vehicle, a Blind-Spot View Monitor to monitor blind spots through a digital screen, and a Front and Rear Parking Distance Warning that provides warnings when the vehicle is potentially approaching objects around it.

In terms of connectivity, Hyundai Bluelink has been supported. This technology allows owners to access various features such as Remote Start & Stop Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Find My Car, to notification and vehicle tracking systems in case of theft, so that the driving experience becomes more practical and safe.

Comfort is also strengthened through functional exterior and interior designs. On the Stargazer Cartenz X, the presence of the roof rail makes it easier for users to carry additional items weighing up to 100 kg by installing a roof box, suitable for homecoming or road trips. Built in Navigation allows drivers to navigate without an internet connection, so it remains reliable for long trips.

Inside the cabin, the captain seat configuration and spacious legroom in the second and third rows provide comfort for all passengers, especially when stuck in traffic. The 185-liter luggage capacity behind the third row can be expanded to 585 liters by folding the seats, making the Stargazer Cartenz and Stargazer Cartenz X flexible for various needs, ranging from daily activities to family vacations.

Regarding the cooking stove, both variants carry the Smartstream 1.5 MPI DOHC engine with 115 PS power and 143.8 Nm torque. However, the difference lies in the choice of transmission. Stargazer Cartenz is available in MT (manual) and iVT (intelligent variable transmission) options.

Meanwhile, the Cartenz X is only available in the iVT version. Regarding the price, the Stargazer Cartenz is sold at a price range of IDR 269.9 million to IDR 350.4 million, and the Cartenz X is priced at IDR 361.9 for the cheapest, and the highest is sold at IDR 391.9 million.
