BGN Budget Not Yet Disbursed, 12 SPPG in Trenggalek Stop MBG Operations

TRENGGALEK - A total of 12 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Trenggalek Regency, East Java, temporarily stopped the operation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program due to the operational funds or budget from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) not being disbursed until mid-December 2025.

Deputy Chairman of the MBG Trenggalek Task Force, Saeroni, said that so far, as many as 50 SPPGs operating in Trenggalek have not received operational funds for the kitchen for the period of 8-20 December 2025.

"We received a report from the Indonesian Development Drivers (SPPI), there are 12 SPPGs who chose to stop temporarily due to limited funds," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 16.

He explained that the SPPG first stopped operations since Monday (15/12), namely SPPG Bodag and Sawahan in Panggul District, SPPG Petung District Dongko, SPPG Surondakan, Karangsuko 2 and Karangsuko 3 District Trenggalek, SPPG Kamulan District Durenan, SPPG Pule District Pule, and SPPG Bendoagung 2 District Kampak.

On Tuesday (16/12), three other SPPG followed by stopping MBG services, namely SPPG Tumpuk Tugu District, SPPG Surondakan Trenggalek District, and SPPG Nglebeng Panggul District.

"The termination of operations has been informed to the beneficiary schools," he said.

A total of 38 other SPPGs continue to operate even though they have not received funds from BGN. The operation of the MBG kitchen is carried out using the manager's own funds.

"Most of them still survive with personal funds so that services to students do not stop," said Saeroni.

Regarding the operational eligibility aspect, he said that of the 50 SPPGs in Trenggalek, only two SPPGs had obtained the Certificate of Public Hygiene (SLHS). In addition, five SPPGs are still in the verification process.

"The submission of SLHS is carried out through the OSS system. We encourage all SPPGs to immediately meet the standards so that operations are safer and sustainable," he said.
