Tiimo, Dredge, And Cyberpunk 2077 Win Big At The App Store Awards 2025
JAKARTA - Apple again provides a stage for the world's best developers through the 2025 App Store Awards annual event. In an announcement made on Thursday, December 4, 2025, the tech giant set 17 winners who were judged to have brought innovation, user experience, and significant cultural impacts throughout the year.
The finalist list was actually published at the end of November, but only on Thursday, December 4, Apple officially named the champions of various categories of apps and games. The six winners were designated as App of the Year, five others as Game of the Year, while six applications were selected specifically by App Store editors as Cultural Impact Winners thanks to their contribution in encouraging inclusiveness as well as positive changes in society.
In the main category, Tiimo, a visual planner application, has won the iPhone App of the Year title, outperforming various other productivity applications thanks to its simple but effective approach to helping users draw up daily schedules.

For the iPad device, the award went to Details of the work of Detail Technologies BV, while Essayist was named App of the Year for the Mac platform thanks to his ability to deliver a neat and focused writing experience.
Apple's immersive experience Vision Pro has also come under the spotlight through a POV Explore victory from James Hustler, which is considered to have brought a new perspective on visual exploration.
In the game category, competition is no less fierce. The TCG Pocket Pokémon has won the iPhone Game of the Year title through an adaptation of the card game which is popular into an intuitive and accessible digital format.
On the iPad platform, Dredge's indie game from Black Salt Games came as the winner thanks to the exciting exploration experience of the sea with the calmian nuances. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition from CD Projek S.A. won the Mac Game of the Year title, a major achievement for the AAA game which was previously known for technical challenges on other platforms.
For Apple Vision Pro, Porta Nubi won, while What The Clash? from Triband ApS was chosen as Game of the Year for the Apple Arcade category.
Apart from simply celebrating technological sophistication, Apple also provides space for applications that have social impacts. Six applications have been awarded Cultural Impact Awards thanks to their contribution to promoting inclusiveness, awareness of social issues, and improving quality of life.
Among the winners was Art of Fauna's puzzle game with stunning wildlife illustrations and Focus Friends, an application that turned focus sessions into fun activities through gamification.
There is also StoryGraph which helps users find books from various writers, as well as Be My Eyes that use AI technology to help people with visual disabilities understand their surroundings. Chants of Sennaar and descent complete the list thanks to strong cultural exploration and narrative.
Apple CEO Tim Cook praised the winners as a real example of how creativity and technology can have a real impact on people's lives.

With a total of more than 1.8 million applications available on the App Store, the competition to win this award is very tight. But the winners of this year are considered to have exceeded the limits of creativity and technology, as well as providing an interesting picture of the future direction of Apple devices ranging from productivity, entertainment, to artificial intelligence-based innovation.
