Redmi K90 Pro Akan Usung Kamera Periscope 50MP OmniVision OV50Q
JAKARTA - As Xiaomi prepares to launch the Xiaomi 16 series in China in September, its sub-brand, Redmi, is also preparing the presence of Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro which are expected to be released in October or November.
Setelah rumor sebelumnya menyebut K90 Pro akan membawa kamera periscope telefoto, kini bocoran terbaru mengungkap lebih detail soal sensor yang akan digunakan.
According to the famous Digital Chat Station leaker, the Redmi K90 Pro is likely to be equipped with an OV50Q OmniVision sensor, which is a 50MP sensor measuring 1/1.3 inches. This sensor is equipped with LOFIC and QPD V3 technology designed to increase the dynamic range (HDR), focus speed, and power efficiency.
The technology also supports features such as smooth frame transitions and synthesis super frames, which are important for clear and stable optical zoom results. DCS adds that the trend of using periscope cameras will also be followed by other sub-brand flagships such as iQOO, OnePlus, and Realme for future generations.
In addition to the camera, another leak says that the Redmi K90 Pro will come with a significant increase compared to its predecessor:
- 6.59 inches flat screen with 2K resolution and new LTPS panel technology
- Carrying new generation screen material to produce sharper visuals and thinner bezels

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2
The Redmi K90 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, Qualcomm's newest flagship chipset made with TSMC's 3nm N3P fabrication process. The initial benchmark shows a score of nearly 4,000 points on the Geekbench 6 single-core, signaling a significant performance jump.
For the record, the globally available Poco F7 Ultra is a rebranding version of the Redmi K80 Pro. So it is likely that the Redmi K90 Pro, even though it is exclusive to the Chinese market, will be released globally under the name Poco F8 Ultra.
With a combination of advanced periscope cameras, sharp screens, and the fastest chipset from Qualcomm, Redmi K90 Pro is set to become one of the most attractive flagship killers by the end of 2025.
