JAKARTA AirTag, a popular tracking device developed by Apple, will be present in the latest version. Reportedly, the American technology company will launch AirTag 2 in mid-2025.

Towards the turn of the year, leaks related to AirTag 2 continue to appear. This accessory will get three major upgrades. According to a Bloomberg report, the upgrade includes wireless chipsets, location coverage, and user privacy security.

The latest generation AirTag will use an upgraded band's ultrawide chipset to make the location received by users more precise. The location range has also been expanded to three times to overcome the loss of devices in a very long distance.

If previously users could only monitor their belongings within 10 to 30 meters, the second generation AirTag could help track within 30 meters to 90 meters.

In addition to making the search distance wider, this latest chip can also provide more precise results, even in a minimally populated environment. This capability is enhanced to prevent users who abuse AirTag.

A few months ago, reports emerged that AirTag could be used to stalk someone. Not only that, several individuals also modified AirTag to disable internal speakers so that his stalking action went smoothly.
