JAKARTA - Ubisoft is reported to have dismissed as many as 60 employees. This game's publisher is the latest technology company to carry out mass layoffs (PHK) over the past few months.

The layoffs came from the North Carolina, US and Newcastle, England offices. It is claimed, most affected Ubisoft's customer service department.

I (and about 60 other amazing people) were Aid off today with no notice. I'm divided, living alone with a mortgage, and have a daughter who I love and support, so if any of you have any leads, please reach out. Thank you so much. <3

"Ubisoft's Central Customer Relations Team is developing its organization to focus on which we can have a significant impact while remaining firm in our commitment to consistently support our players anywhere in the world," Ubisoft said in a statement.

"We estimate that, due to organizational changes, 60 team members from our offices in Cary, North Carolina in the US and Newcastle in the UK could be affected," he added.

Several employees who were laid off complained on Twitter, where the company did not give advance warnings.

Ubisoft's move came months after it was revealed that it had canceled three games under production.

The game is based on long-developed Skull and Bones pirates, first revealed in 2017, and has been postponed once again without setting a new release date, as quoted by IGN, Thursday, May 11.
