Aptos Announces Grant Fund Recipients Of IDR 51 Billion

JAKARTA - The Aptos Foundation, an organization based in the Cayman Islands and supports the growth and development of the Aptos protocol, announced recipients of its first round of grant funds.

In a press release, the Aptos Foundation announced a total of 3.5 million US dollars (equivalent to Rp. 51 billion) was given in grants to 50 new project teams to continue developing the Aptos blockchain. The grants are divided into four categories: developer tools, infrastructure, education, and ecosystems.

Some of the prominent grant recipients include Mokshya and Pontem for developer tools, Aries and KYCDao for infrastructure, Overmind and Aptos Eden for education, and Tsunami and Topaz for ecosystem development.

The Aptos Foundation is committed to encouraging engagement with the Aptos ecosystem and supporting the development of protocols, decentralized networks, and the Aptos ecosystem.

Bashar Lazaar, who brings a relevant business development experience from Consensys, will join the Aptos Foundation team as Grants & Ecosystem Lead to lead the growth of grant programs in the future.

According to Lazaar, it is important for us to continue to maintain a strong relationship with our developing community and entrepreneurs to grow a collaborative, sustainable, and innovative environment for the success of Aptos and a wider web3 ecosystem. In its initial focus, the Aptos Foundation prioritizes public services, infrastructure, and teams focused on open-source development. The Foundation reviewed more than 500 applications on various initiatives before choosing 50 projects to receive grants. The criteria are based on the value of ideas, potential benefits for a wider ecosystem, and the team's ability to lead the project to completion.

Launching BSC, the Aptos Foundation has opened a wave of further grant registrations in April.
