JAKARTA - Netflix continues to develop its gaming business lately, now the company is reportedly going to launch the service to a TV device with a smartphone as its controller.
App developer Steve Moser, who shared his findings with Bloomberg, discovered several rows of hidden code while digging the back of Netflix.
One line of code reads, "The game on your TV requires a controller to play. Do you want to use this phone as a game controller?".
The code shows the user's smartphone will function as a controller for the game hosted on the Netflix interface.
Moser's findings indicate that it is likely that Netflix is actively testing those features. However, not too surprising as streaming giants continue to increase their stakes when they come to the Netflix Games.
Netflix began to enter the world of games in July 2021, when the company officially announced its intention to enter the world of games.
Four months later, Netflix acquired Night School Studio, an indie game developer with several well-known Afterparty 2019 and Oxenfree 2016, featuring plots very similar to Netflix's flagship show Stranger Things.
