JAKARTA - The new Bing Chat driven by OpenAI's big language model, GPT-4 was initially only available to those with an invite, but now it seems that Microsoft has removed the waiting list and opened access to everyone.

To access Bing Chat which is powered by GPT-4, users must first have the latest version of the Microsoft Edge browser.

If you already have the Edge browser on either your computer or smartphone, go to bing.com/new, sign in with a Microsoft account, and start using the free GPT-4 powered search engine chatbot feature.

Note that this can only be done using the Edge browser, and not in Safari or Google Chrome. The new Bing is available on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices.

Although the new Bing is now available to everyone, the tool is still in the preview stage, and users must register to test it, quoted from Indian Express, Friday, March 17.

However, Microsoft has yet to provide an official statement regarding this matter. The report was first revealed by online media The Verge.

By making it exclusive to Edge, Microsoft is also promoting the use of its own browser, which recently attracted 100 million daily active users. However, Microsoft has confirmed the new Bing will also be available in other browsers in the future.

Microsoft recently unveiled OpenAI's GPT-4 model by confirming that it is the model behind Bing Chat.

At the start of the Bing Chat announcement, more than 1 million people signed up for the waiting list. Microsoft says millions more have joined since then. It only takes a few days to gain access via a public waiting list. Now, Bing Chat is also integrated with Skype.

Since its launch, Microsoft has severely limited Bing Chat response due to some uncontrolled conversations. However, it slowly gave way, and users can now ask up to 15 questions in a session and up to 150 in a day.
