JAKARTA - German automaker Volkswagen recently released its newest car concept, VW ID.2all which will be sold for 2026. The car was inspired by previous model designs such as Beeple, Golf and Polo.

VW ID.2all is a car that will later become a competitor to Peugeot e-208 and Vauxhall Corsa-e as well as the first model to use the MEB Entry platform developed by Volkswagen Group.

The ID.2all model will be placed under the ID.3 VW class as the line of electric cars that Volkswagen has produced. The new design boss, Andreas Mindt claims that he designed the concept car in just six weeks, and of course adapted it to the MEB Entry platform.

The dimension size on the ID.2all consists of a length of 4,050 mm, shorter than Polo now. However, it has a wheelbase size of 2,600 mm which is likely to have a larger interior.

On the platform, later MEB Entry will adhere to the front wheel drive system on ID.2all. Equipped with electric motors that can generate 226 dk of power and VW states that this car can cover as far as 450 km. ID.2all can also go up to a maximum speed of 160 km/hour and accelerate from 0-100 km/hour within 7 seconds.

The MEB Entry platform can receive two battery sizes, namely 38 kWh and 56 kWh with each different battery cell technology. For a size of 58 kWh, VW says that the battery can be charged from 10-80% within 20 minutes of charging.

There are advanced features embedded in ID.2all, namely travel assists, LED matrix lights, electric caps and panoramic sunscreen.

ID.2all will be displayed to the public in 2025. This will be one of the 10 electric cars VW produces in 2026, including Volkswagen ID Buzz, the ID.7 sedan and one of the SUVs that all use the MEB Entry platform.

It should be noted, as reported by Autocar, March 16, that the car, which is being worked on by VW, will be marketed for 20 thousand pounds or converted into around Rp371 million.
