JAKARTA - Since it was first launched, OpenAI's ChatGPT has gained more attention than many people. Now, Salesforce and OpenAI are introducing the ChatGPT app for Slack.

According to an announcement shared on Twitter, the app will later integrate powerful AI ChatGPT technology to provide a summary of instant conversations, research tools, and direct writing assistance on Slack to help millions of companies work more productively.

The new app will combine the knowledge found in Slack with ChatGPT intelligence, as well as empower customers with the information they need to advance work faster.

"OpenAI has become a great Slack customer, and we are even more excited for them to become an extraordinary Slack partner. The ChatGPT app for Slack strongly integrates OpenAI's sophisticated big language model power into Slack's conversational interface," said Noah Desai Weiss, Chief Product Officer, Slack in his announcement.

However, Slack says that they are currently still testing it in beta. In this version, the ChatGPT app for Slack will provide a conversation interface supported by OpenAI's big language model to get a summary of instant conversations to keep information, research tools to learn any topics, and provide writing assistance for quickly compiling messages.

Furthermore, Weiss said that this app will help customers take advantage of the collective knowledge of their organization's channel archives with the ability of AI ChatGPT.

According to the company, with this ChatGPT for Slack, users will benefit from such benefits, knowing more quickly what is happening, finding instant answers to any questions, and self-drafting messages.

This application builds on a trusted Slack platform, and will be available alongside more than 2,600 other integrations in the app ecosystem. This ensures that customers have detailed controls to manage third-party Slack data access safely. Any data whose access permits are owned by the app will not be used to train the ChatGPT language model," Weiss concluded.
