JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Nokia announced the signing of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch a sophisticated enterprise campus private wireless network on several major islands in Indonesia.

As part of the collaboration and also the vision of the two companies to accelerate digital transformation in Indonesia, Nokia's private wireless solutions will be implemented in East Java, Central Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan.

Based on the MoU, this collaboration is designed to improve industrial operations with reliable connectivity and low latency as part of the Indonesia Digital Strategy, a program closely linked to the government's digital economy development plans.

Important zones for economic growth in Indonesia will be driven by sophisticated industrial networks. And, in a nation of more than 17,000 islands, integrated port solutions will improve operational efficiency with high-quality digitization platforms.

He continued, by using Nokia's private wireless network as a foundation for digital strategy, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison customers will be able to use digital technology to increase automation, ensure worker safety and security, and improve efficiency and productivity.
