JAKARTA - The increasing number of online threats, Google Workspace has finally continued to improve the privacy of its customers by building advanced new security technologies into its products with Google AI.

Last year, Google Workspace activated CSE (such as client side encryption) for Drive, Documents, Slides, Spreadsheets, and Meet, and today with Google announcing that CSE is publicly available for Gmail and Calendar.

The addition of this CSE allows more organizations to determine their own data and the only party who decides who has access to it.

According to the search giant, this CSE feature has been launched to its users. They can send and receive emails or create meetings with internal colleagues and external parties, knowing that their sensitive data (including a line of images and attachments) has been encrypted before reaching the Google server.

We have been looking for the ability to ensure that our encrypted communications remain inaccessible to third parties, including our technology providers, for some time. The features that are now available across Google Workspace are an important moment for us, "said Shaun Bookham, UK Operations & Technological Director at PwC on Google's official blog.

Google also added, Although the journey of digital transformation of each customer is different, with all the important Google Workspace applications now covered by CSE, companies of various sizes in all industries can take advantage of this protection.

Starting today, client side encryption is available globally to all subscribers with Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus. To learn more about client side encryption and how to get started, Google recommends you watch their presentations from Google Cloud Next 22.
