According to an announcement discovered by Engadget, Instagram says that on that date, you can no longer tag products in Instagram live broadcasts.

According to Mark Zuckerberg's company, this change is intended so that they can focus more on products and features and are more useful for their users.

"Starting March 16, 2023, you can no longer tag products in live broadcasts on Instagram. These changes will help us focus on products and features that give our users the highest value," Meta said.

"Other live broadcast features will not be affected, including the ability to schedule live broadcasts, invite guests to join your live broadcasts, and hold direct Response Requests," the company added.

Instagram's shopping feature was originally launched as a tool users usually use to offer targeted recommendations to encourage users to shop outside of regular mid-feed offerings.
