JAKARTA - Microsoft has again announced a massive feature for those using Skype in version 8.93, including bug fixes, and service upgrades.

Skype version 8.93 includes a new feature that is exclusive to mobile users, where they will get the latest news and trends on the Skype Today tab in the app.

Another important feature is the ability to add contacts on Skype using a unique QR code. Microsoft also updated the video calling experience on mobile phones.

Additionally, in this latest version of Skype users can easily manage Caller ID settings from within the Skype app and customize the theme of different colors.

Users also now have a Universal translator on Skype that can be automatically activated and will detect languages and then translate them. Then users can also use the voice during the translated call.

Quoted from Mspoweruser, Tuesday, January 31, all these changes are available on all platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Web, Android, iPhone, and iPad. The new features underwent beta testing with Skype Insiders before becoming publicly available.

Microsoft will release another Skype update next month to introduce new features and fixes. The new features are rolling out in stages, meaning some users can get them slower than others.
