Twitter owner Elon Musk revealed the social media company will provide ad-free subscription packages but at a higher price.

This was conveyed by Musk via his thread on Twitter on Sunday. In the tweet, Musk also said that "advertising too often on Twitter and is too big". Therefore, it will take steps to deal with this in the coming weeks.

According to a Reuters report, quoted by Antara on Sunday, nearly 90 percent of Twitter's revenue comes from digital advertising sales.

In November last year, Musk mentioned a decline in advertising revenue on Twitter, but blamed activist groups for putting pressure on advertisers.

Earlier in December, Musk also announced that blue tick account or Twitter Blue will feature half of the number of ads compared to unverified accounts and will offer higher prices for ad-free services by 2023.
