Results And Temporary Standings Of The Knockout M4 Round: Philippines Competition Domination

JAKARTA - The Knockout round at the M4 World Championship has been held for eight days, starting from 7-14 January 2013.

Of the total 16 teams competing from around the world, currently only two teams remain that continue their journey to the Grand Finals.

Two days ago was a very important match for the Indonesian team, RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports. Because, the two Indonesian teams who were initially in the upper bracket had to go down to the lower bracket due to losing to the Philippine team.

In the fifth day of the Knockout round, RRQ Hoshi had to fall by Blacklist International (Philippines) with a final score of 2-3. On the following day, ONIC followed RRQ Hoshi's 1-3 defeat to the Philippine ECHO team.

Being in a lower bracket means that whoever loses the team will be eliminated immediately. On this seventh day, there are six teams that will compete in three matches, including:

RRQ Hoshi defeated Falcon with a score of 3-2. While ONIC also won the match against The Valley with a score of 3-1.

Unlike the match in the lower bracket, the two Philippine teams that competed in the upper bracket had little advantage, namely the losing team did not go straight home, but would compete again in the lower bracket.

Because on the seventh day RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports managed to win the match, they finally met in the Knockout round the next day. This means that the journey from one of the Indonesian teams must stop in fourth place.

In this match, RRQ Hoshi managed to dominate the match with a 3-0 victory over the ONIC Esports. ONIC also had to bury him in his dream of becoming the champion of the M4 World Championship.

Still on the same day, RRQ Hoshi's winning team returned to compete with the Philippine ECHO, who on the previous day were defeated by Blacklist. From that match, unfortunately RRQ Hoshi had to accept his defeat by ECHO with a score of 1-3.

Thus, ECHO advanced to the Grand Final round to meet with a team from the same country, Blacklist International.
