JAKARTA - Twitter Inc., has officially announced Twitter Blue for Business, a subscription intended for companies wishing to "verify and differentiate themselves on Twitter." This appears in the social media platform's press release.

The Blue for Business service will allow companies to link their main accounts with their employee accounts to make it easier and show that someone is actually working for them.

The company is testing this service with "elected business groups", including its own employees.

Esther Crawford, director of product management on Twitter, has a small bird badge next to her blue tick that verifies herself as an employee at the company, as can be seen in a tweet about Blue for Business announcements.

Craft Ventures, a venture capital firm, also appears to have several employees tagged as affiliates, using badges with logos.

So far, Twitter has not shared many details about the service. It is not yet known how much it costs to subscribe to Blue for Business, who is eligible, or how to verify that the business controls that account.

Esther Crawford from Twitter did not immediately reply to questions via Twitter. The company's press release also said that it plans to let more businesses subscribe next year.

According to The Verge report, Twitter does warn that the Blue for Business feature may not be available on all platforms and that the feature "can change regularly".

Twitter has also officially started rolling out a new gray tick badge for "government and multilateral accounts". Netizens may be able to see it on the @WhiteHouse account. Twitter did say by the end of November it would launch a gray badge.
