The Netherlands Is Considered The Most Ready To Receive Metaverse, The United States Is Only 12th Order

JAKARTA - The experience of the metaverse and digital reality has slid to consumers. However, public readiness to accept the metaverse is still questionable. However, there are certain places in the world that are ready to embrace this digital future from a technology point of view.

A new study by Uswitch, an internet and phone service researcher, saw a combination of fixed broadband speeds, broadband pack prices, blockchain financial start-ups and high technology export prices to determine which countries have the capacity to embrace the metaverse.

The top list is the Netherlands, which has the most friendly conditions to meet such technology. According to research, the Netherlands has one of the highest average broadband speeds of 106.51Mbps. The country also produced around 6,000 US dollars of high technology exports per capita last year.

The Netherlands is also ranked number one in the metaverse interest from a consumer point of view, according to a different survey.

After the Netherlands, only countries such as Switzerland, Lithuania, Malta, and France. All countries in the top five spaces are known to show interest in the developing Web3 space. Malta has long been a crypto and blockchain center.

United Kingdom and the United States, two main players in the metaverse development space, are 7th and 12th, respectively.

Despite the recent turmoil in Web3 space, development around the metaverse continues.

Recently, Animoca Brands announced that it is taking a majority stake in the new music metaverse gaming platform. This happened shortly after the company announced its plans for a billion-dollar metaverse development fund.

Meta, Facebook's parent company, is also back in the spotlight of the metaverse after co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he did not allow significant criticism and monetary losses to stop plans to build a metaverse platform.
