Twitter Will Remove 1.5 Billion Accounts That Never Tweet Years

JAKARTA - After officially becoming the new Twitter boss, Elon Musk immediately made many changes on his platform, ranging from verifying Blue's Twitter account to suspending the parody account.

Now, Musk is again sharing a tweet saying he will delete more than 1.5 billion accounts that never tweeted at all on the blue bird social media platform.

"Twitter will soon begin to free up the space of names from 1.5 billion accounts," Musk wrote in a tweet on his personal account on Friday, December 9 at around 14:58 WIB.

In reply to another tweet, Musk confirmed that the deletion of this account was intended by Twitter users who had never tweeted at all over the years. "This is a clear account deletion without a tweet & not coming in for years," he added.

Musk's tweet is now flooded with comments from netizens with pros and cons responses. One account named @Chrissy82169637 clearly disagrees with Musk's decision.

"Someone may not want to post something or they don't know how to post, you need to respect and give them a choice, like they can donate a few other things instead of posting. It's not good just to put them outside directly just because they don't do the things you want," he said.

"That's great @elonmusk really encourages free speech in space," wrote the account owner with the name @RealStrawhats.

"Elon has turned this app into a disaster and getting worse.

"Disabling tonight & bringing my talent to Instagram where they run good apps," wrote the account @R0haan_.
