The company will launch a pilot two-wheeled battery exchange in Manila using leading battery exchanges in the Gogoro and Smartscooters industries.
Smartscooters, which serve as environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil-fueled vehicles, are expected to launch in Q1 2023.

Furthermore, Yamat also hopes that Gogoro technology will later be able to encourage more people in the Philippines to switch to EVs.
Rafaelita Aldaba, Deputy Secretary of the Philippine Department of Commerce and Industry, also said that her country needed innovative technology-based projects that support climate action.
