JAKARTA - Google provides a neater redesign for its keyboard app, Gboard. By moving some buttons and interface elements (UI) to make the emoji search experience more natural.
Currently the redesign is still in beta. Where, if the user taps the emoji button on the Gboard, they will see a new persistent bar at the top with the search box, the return button, and the mentioned page name.
Talking about the changes, the All tab remains unchanged, but the Emoji tab accepts most changes. Emoji voters are now under the top bar and less stacked.
Now, Search and Category are placed first on the panel. Sticker tabs in the top bar are now not too crowded. GIF and Emoticon tabs are also in line with UI, and search features get the same UI.
Launching 9to5Google, Friday, November 11, one strange change found was that the ABC button was not in the lower left corner. Using this ABC button, users can easily return to the keyboard but that button has been removed.
If users want to return to the font display, they should press the top left return button. Furthermore, Google is now showing an Emoji Kitchen sticker within the emoji voter, not above it.
Currently, the redesign of Gboard emoji voters appears for many beta users. This new design hasn't rolled out to a wider user yet. So, if users want to try out this new redesign, they should be beta testers for the Gboard app, which can be done from the Google Play Store.
