Jabodetabek Analog TV Broadcasts Officially Stopped, Minister Of Communication And Information: From Jabodetabek To Nusantara

JAKARTA - Exactly on November 2 at 24.00 WIB, the government through the Ministry of Communication and Information officially stopped broadcasting Analog TV (Analog Switch Off / ASO) in Greater Jakarta.

In accordance with what has been mandated in Article 60A of Law no. 32 of 2002 concerning Broadcasting through Law no. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, the termination of terrestrial analog television broadcasts or the national Analog Switch Off (ASO) will be implemented no later than November 2, 2022.

But unfortunately, the implementation of the ASO tonight is not comprehensive, but only for the people in the Greater Jakarta area.

Although there is a change in the implementation of ASO, which previously took place from three stages to multiple, depending on the readiness of each region, it did not stop the migration of Analog to digital TV in Indonesia.

"With the Analog Switch Off, we mark a new era of television digitization. From Jabodetabek to the archipelago," said Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate at the Jabodetabek Analog Switch Off Countdown event in Jakarta.

Now, if you are an analog TV user, you will not be able to see and hear any TV broadcasts there.
