Fedorov Praises Starlink Services That Evidenced To Be ABLE To Recover Internet Connections In Ukrainian Critical Areas

JAKARTA - SpaceX's Starlink service has helped restore energy and communication infrastructure in critical Ukraine. This statement came from the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, Wednesday, October 12.

"More than 100 cruise missiles have attacked our energy infrastructure and communications. But with Starlink, we are quickly restoring connections in critical areas," Fedorov tweeted in his Twitter account.

Several internet devices from Starlink that have experienced blackouts have returned online in recent days. Starlink managed to restore important communication lines in the region recently released from Russian occupation, according to Ukrainian soldiers and officials, last Wednesday.

SpaceX did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters on the report. But SpaceX, which has played a role in restoring communication and internet networks in Russia, is considered very meritorious to the country.

In February, when Ukraine's internet was disrupted following the Russian invasion, SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said the Starlink satellite broadband service was available in the country and SpaceX sent more Starlink terminals to Ukraine.

The existence of Starlink makes Russia's efforts to conquer Ukraine very difficult even in some places where Russian troops are forced to withdraw.
