Vermont Creates A New Incentive Program To Exchange Gas Fuel Vehicles To Electric

JAKARTA - The State of Vermont is offering a new incentive program to consumers to dispose of and replace their old Internalgaring Machine (ICE) vehicles with new or used Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEVs) vehicles.

The Replace Your Ride program is available to residents of Vermont who meet the requirements based on who comes first, and depend on the availability of existing funds.

If these funds run out, the State incentives under this program will no longer be available. Based on the official announcement found by Electrek, the terms and conditions of the program may change at any time over the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) policy.

Incentives The Replace Your Ride (RYR) will be processed by administrators, Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE). Consumers need to work with dealers participating to participate in this program.

The first phase of the RYR program was launched on September 14, 2022. The second phase of the RYR program is currently under development and will offer additional transportation options for eligible applicants this fall.
