JAKARTA - Microsoft Gaming boss Phil Spencer has finally made a statement regarding the future of the Call of Duty franchise after Activision Blizzard's acquisition with Microsoft is complete.

Although it's not clear when it will be, Spencer guarantees that Call of Duty will definitely be coming to PlayStation in the next few years, or possibly two years, according to a Bloomberg report.

"In January, we gave Sony a signed agreement to guarantee Call of Duty on PlayStation, with features and content parrying, for at least another few years beyond Sony's current contract, an offer that goes beyond the usual gaming industry agreement," Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said in a statement to The Verge.

This statement comes after Sony made this statement to regulatory bodies that the Call of Duty release platform is actively affecting consoles that players might buy.

It's also a lot of debate from fans in which they question whether Microsoft is still making this Call of Duty game exclusive to the Xbox if Activision Blizzard deal is complete or not.

Microsoft's latest statement did not discuss anything about "a few years into the future", but it's clear that the company will still guarantee Call of Duty on PlayStation for a longer period than usual than it should be in the contract.

Spencer also stated that Xbox has the intention to honor the existing Activision agreement, and the desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation.
