As TechCrunch notes, this battery indicator actually made its debut in the iPhone 3GS era, but it disappeared around the iPhone X or iOS 11 era in 2017.
But now, it seems that the tech giant is bringing back the battery indicator for iOS 16. But, the indicator will not appear by default on your device, you have to enable it first in the settings.
The option to enable Battery Percentage can be found in the "battery" corner of the Settings menu, above the Low Power Mode switch.
Another advantage of iOS 16 is that you can edit and cancel messages you send. But, from the latest information we know, this edit and cancel message feature only lasts up to 15 minutes.
So, if you long press on your message after 15 minutes have elapsed, the Undo Send and Edit options will no longer appear on the menu.
Please note, this feature will only appear to fellow iOS 16 users. If you are still using iOS 15 or earlier, edited or unsent messages will still appear in their original form.
